Number of road accidents are increasing daily. The major causes of road accidents include over speeding, reckless driving and drunken driving. The Governments around the globe has taken measures to improve road safety in the countries, but a lot still remains to be done.

Here are some important tips that can help improve road safety-

Wear Helmets and Seat Belts:- Motorcyclists and four wheeler riders should always wear helmets and seat belts while driving. Wearing a helmet can reduce the risk of head injury in the event of an accident. It is also important to ensure that the helmet is of good quality and fits properly.

Obey the Traffic Rules:- The driver should always follow the traffic rules and follow the traffic signals. Traffic rules are in place to ensure the safety of all road users. Ignoring traffic singles, overtaking from the wrong side and driving in the wrong direction can lead to accidents.

NO Driving after Drinking Alcohol :- Drinking alcohol and driving is the leading cause of road accidents. Drunk driving can impair drivers’ judgment, vision and alertness, making it difficult for them to react quickly to changes in traffic.

Maintain a Safe Distance:- It is important to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you while driving.

Avoid Distraction:- Drivers should not use mobiles or do other distracting activities while driving.

Educate the Public: There should be a concerted effort to work the public on road safety. This may include campaigns to raise awareness of the dangers of drunk driving and speeding. It is also important to educate children about road safety and teach them how to navigate road safety.

By following these measures, we can all play our part in ensuring road safety and making our roads safer for everyone.
